Among the many areas the FPSM committee is involved in, community awareness is one of them. What does that involve? Well, that is us reaching out to get more people in the US aware that we exist. It is also a great way for FPSM to give back to the community that we live in. So we set out and planned a few creative ways to do that. Our first adventure was being a sponsor at a spring fair, in a local neighborhood here in St. Augustine. We attended King and the Bear’s Flashlight Egg Hunt on April 7th in World Golf Village. Of course, it was an unusually cool night here in Florida, so some of us needed extra coats, and maybe a blanket. We were then ready to set out to make an impact on this community. We sponsored prize baskets for the different age group egg hunts, we baked over 100 cookies with the Foundation’s logo on them, and fine tuned our face painting skills! The result was a lot of happy children and parents.
We shared what FPSM is about by talking with some of the residents that were willing to listen, and hope that those that were busy running after their little ones were able to look at our website when they got home. One blessing was we were able to raise some funds to buy much needed supplies for our Haitian Summer Camp, being held in July.

We left glowing on the inside and out at the joy we were able to bring a neighborhood. Looking forward to many more of these events in the future.
