Eglise Baptiste de la Promesse de Thibeau

Eglise Baptiste de la Promesse de Thibeau (The Baptist Church of the Promise for the community of Thibeau) was founded in 2021. It serves the community of Milot, Haiti and is led by Marcot Vernoise, Baptist pastor and FPSM founding member.

History of the Church

Since 2017, every Sunday from 1:00pm-3:00pm men, women, and children attended Bible study at the FPSM chapel. The Bible study started with 27 participants and consistently grew over the years to over 200 attendees by 2020.

Additionally, twice a week from 9:00am-12:00pm, the FPSM ministry team traveled to 15 different neighborhoods surrounding the FPSM property. The team engaged in conversations with the Milot residents in regard to their worldview, understanding of the living God and the gospel. Individuals and families were invited to accept Christ and begin a journey of life and faith in him.

In 2020, the FPSM board and ministry team discussed the LORD’s movement within the Bible study and started discerning the next move. Based on the needs of the community and Lord’s leading, FPSM decided to transition the Bible study into a Church.  Eglise Baptiste de la Promesse de Thibeau (The Baptist Church of the promise of Thibeau) commenced with its first service in January of 2021.
